Iris 'Men are from Mars'

'Men are from Mars' towers at 40 inches high with fragrant, bicoloured flowers with bright yellow standards highlighted with white and lavender falls edged with a milk chocolate picotee. Blooms mid to late season. Tall Bearded (TB) irises, previously known as Iris germanica, have greyish strap-like, pointed leaves from fleshy rhizomes and tall stems of gorgeous, often fragrant, flowers that come in every colour of the rainbow. Divide every two to three years (or when clumps become congested and flowering decreases) just after blooming. Trim the foliage back to a third and plant the rhizomes at or just below soil level. Deer and rabbit resistant.
