Cypripedium 'Karo' (Brown Form) is a peculiar yet cool lady's slipper hybrid with strange reddish brown slippers mottled with green and white lateral petals with burgundy brown polka dots atop stems 8-10 inches high. It is a miniature lady's slipper with flowers just 1.5 inches high growing from a creeping rhizome that spreads like a ground cover. It is quite hardy, tough, and vigorous. Its parents are C. x alaskanum, itself a cross of C. guttatum and C. yatabeanum, and C. guttatum. Blooms in May. Blooming size. Seed grown. More info on our Frosch Cypripedium: www.cypripedium.de.
