Agapanthus 'Valencia' plant details

Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Agapanthus 'Valencia' offers sky blue flowers with darker veins and reverses on dark reddish stems over lush green strap-like leaves. Lily-of-the-Nile are gorgeous, subtropical-looking, long-blooming plants for gardens or pots. Thrives in full sun and fertile, moist, well-drained soil. Awesome in the perennial border, grown in swaths, and in containers (where many gardeners find Agapanthus easier to bloom). A great cut flower. Mulch each winter with fallen leaves or protect above freezing in its pot. Hummingbird and bee attractor. Deer resistant.
