Cypripedium 'Anna Beckmann' is an elegant and beautiful lady's slipper hybrid with large pale yellow slippers and rich burgundy petals, the laterals being quite long with a wonderful twist. One of its parents is obviously C. kentuckiense owing to the flower structure and the tall stems. The other is C. x columbianum, itself a cross of C. montanum and C. parviflorum var. pubescens, which gives a fuller, rounder pouch, the extra twist in the petals, and softer yellow colouration. Blooms in May. Blooming size. Seed grown. More info on our Frosch Cypripedium: www.cypripedium.de.
