Scilla siberica 'Alba' plant details

Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Scilla siberica, the Siberian squill, is not native to Siberia but to southwestern Russia, the Caucasus, and Turkey. It is an easy and extremely hardy beauty for the garden normally with glowing blue, starry, bell-shaped flowers with royal blue midribs to each tepal. But in this case we have 'Alba', the white form, with icy white flowers and pale yellow anthers. It will naturalize given time and has lush mid green foliage. Blooms in early spring. Great with hellebores, snowdrops, Corydalis solida, and early daffodils.
