Corydalis calycosa plant details

Nursery contributed plant descriptions

I first saw Corydalis calycosa at Jimi Blake's Huntingbrook Garden in Ireland and I was enamoured. It's not hard to love blue flowers but this fumewort offers shades of cobalt blue and sky blue touched with warm purple and accented with white throats. The flowers will bloom up to six weeks from mid to late spring into summer and are fragrant. They look fantastic against the bright green fern-like foliage. It is similar to C. flexuosa and C. elata but with an extended flower period and more robust growth. Use fumeworts as accents or mass plant as ground covers. Deer resistant.
