Brook trillium This delightful miniature is from the Siskiyou Mountains of N. California and S. Oregon and can be found in sandy soil along stream banks and rocks in light to medium shade. The stems rise from a deep-seated root stock, up to 10 inches deep when established while the growth above ground is no more than 2 to 4 inches. Some flowers are pure white while others are painted with tiny purple dots. Blooms in late March, April, May.

We want to thank Glenn Withy and Charles Price for the original seedlings of T. rivale. This southern Oregon native will get 6" tall and carry white flowers spotted with pink in early spring. T. rivale will seed and make glorious carpets of bloom.
