Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Sanguisorba 'Cangshan Cranberry' is a stately burnet displaying masses of dark, purplish-red, bottlebrush flowers blooming atop slender stems supported by neat mounds of green pinnate foliage. Flowering stems can reach 5-6.5 feet high blowing beautifully in the breeze. Use for verticality and movement as well as a see-through plant placed further to the front of the border than a perennial of its size would normally be planted. Appreciates moist, well-drained soil. Use in the pollinator, cottage, informal, and wildflower gardens, in borders, containers, and the vase. Pollinator attractor. Deer and rabbit resistant.
