Physocarpus opulifolius Sweet Cherry Tea™ PP31235

Physocarpus opulifolius Sweet Cherry Tea is a one of the first reblooming ninebarks. New foliage emerges with a warm, reddish-orange glow before aging to a rich purple followed by dark pink buds opening to clusters of delicate pink and white flowers at the tips of every branch. As the petals fall, they give way to showy, rose-red fruits. In midsummer, flowers start again followed by contrasting new growth. Plants will reach 3-4 feet tall and wide. Fabulous for foundations, mixed borders, naturalized gardens, specimens, containers, and small spaces. Bee friendly and a larval host for various moth species. A Canadian native of Ontario and Quebec. Cultivar name 'Zlebic5'
