Gaultheria shallon Cascade Carpet™ PP34661

Gaultheria shallon known as salal, is a lovely BC native with leathery mid green, evergreen foliage on arching stems. The waxy spring flowers hang like tiny white bells, sometimes blushed pink, and are followed by sweet, edible, blue-black berries long prized by First Nations peoples. Cascade Carpet is a special compact form that will reach just 24-36 inches tall and wide. Great for the woodland garden, in dry shade, as a tall ground cover, and as long-lasting greenery in flower arrangements. Cultivar name: 'Gaulsidh4'.
