Upright stems cloaked in deep green leaves are topped with generous clusters of pretty, light yellow tubular flowers summer thru fall! Vertical growth 4-6' and half as wide…sun to light shade, most soils, average water. Flowers are fragrant at night. Deer resistant. A great plant for containers too! I would classify this as a 'sub shrubby perennial'.
CHILIAN JASMINE - WILLOW LEAFED JASMINE - YELLOW JASMINE - Upright stems lined with deep green leaves topped with clusters of light yellow tubular flowers blooming summer to fall in sun to light shade, likes moist soil. Grows up to 4-6' tall and 2-3' wide. Hardy zone 7. Fragrant flowers in early evening. Great for containers. Absoulutely beautiful.
This is a cold hardy cestrum in the SE, and has been used in SE gardens for a long time. Flowers from late May until frost, and deer won't touch it! Laughs at drought and full sun.

Quite possibly the hardiest & longest blooming Cestrum of them all! Tresses of yellow flowers perfume the night for months & months (late Spring onward) on this easy, hardy, evergreen shrub. In 2004 this species made the Royal Horticultural Society’s list of top 200 plants of the last 200 years. Here in USDA Zone 9, it gets to be a 5’ shrub with about equal spread, but it gets much larger in warmer climes. Cestrum parqui is actually so easy to grow that it is considered to be invasive in some parts of the world – notably in Australia, where everything seems to be invasive. It has been evaluated for invasive potential in California, & so far is not considered problematic. Average to rich soil with average water in sun, please. Drought tolerant once established.

Non-stop yellow flower clusters bloom on this 5' tall and wide woody perennial. On warm evenings its intoxicating fragrance finds you just at nose level (and its leaves smell like peanut butter). It resprouts from roots each spring.
If you enjoy special evening perfume in your garden, this plant delivers, bearing a fabulous abundance of yellow flowers from summer through frost on a shrubby perennial, to 6+ ft tall, with long, willowy leaves. Fragrance appears in the early evening inviting delicious after dinner strolls through the garden. Full sun to light shade with regular summer water. Reseeds close to the mother plant making more for friends. This form found by Mike Remmick surrounding lakes and seasonal washes in south central Chile. Frost hardy in USDA zone 7. One of the Royal Horticultural Society's 200 best plants!
