This variegated comfrey is a glorious foliage plant. Best to let grow in spring and then cut hard to the ground. The leaves will get much better and usually won't flower. The leaves are golden yellow margin with green centers.

Here is a bold focal point perennial for sun or part shade forming 18" tall rosettes of gold edged elliptical foliage topped with 4-5' stems bearing nodding pink to lavender bells in early summer. It does prefer a soil that retains moisture, and can be cut back after flowering to encourage a fresh flush of handsome foliage. Be aware that some folks are skin sensitive to this plant.
