Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A selection from Tony Avent who says it is an extra robust form. Well, we'll see. They're pretty darn vigorous anyway and this is from the guy who brought us Hosta "Outhouse Blues". Enough cattiness, it's a great species developing huge trifoliate leaves with rich purple flowers beneath.
Shiny, large hosta like leaves with wavy margin. 1' tall x 2' wide in moist woodland soil.
One of Tony Avent's hybrids. This plant has large leaves that look totally tropical with their dark green, broad foliage. The flowers can get up to 15" tall in late spring and have purple and white hooded flowers. A.f. 'Hugo' will not start to grow until June, so don't think your plant has died.
