Manfreda 'Spot' is a deciduous or semi-evergreen cactus / succulent with blue and purple foliage. In summer flowers emerge. Grows well with sun - dappled shade and even moisture - occasional water. Prefers to be dry in winter. Does well in average, gritty, lean, rocky and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something heat tolerant, humidity tolerant and verticillium wilt resistant.

Manfreda maculosa x Manfreda virginica introduced by Cistus Nursery; Evergreen perennial in frost free zones, deciduous elsewhere. Rosettes of succulent silver green leaves spotted heavily with dark purple create quite a splash in ay garden scene! Clumps are 12”tall expanding to 24” wide or more over time. Prefers sun to light shade, porous soil and moderate moisture. Infrequent 4’flower stalks, heat and humidity tolerant. Choice container specimen. USDA Z5

A Cistus introduction from one of our hybrids between A. virginica and A. maculosa. Forms stunning rosettes to about 18", with blue-green leaves endearingly adorned with purple spots. Though tolerant of some drought prefers a medium to moist situation. Light shade to full sun. Deciduous at 25 °F (don't worry, it's supposed to do that.) Cold hardy to -20 °F, USDA zone 5 or below, if placed in well-drained soil.
