Aloe thraskii is an evergreen cactus / succulent with blue and green foliage. In winter orange and yellow flowers emerge. Features glaucous texture. Attracts beneficial insects and hummingbirds. Grows well with sun and occasional - low water. Drought tolerant once established. Prefers to be dry in winter. Does well in average, gritty, rocky and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something heat tolerant, humidity tolerant, seaside / salt tolerant and verticillium wilt resistant.
Aloe thraskii is an impressive architectural feature, with its soaring height, olive green recurved leaves, and environment-inspired design. Its U-shaped cross section and tiny reddish-brown teeth make it easily recognizable. It thrives in coastal areas, but also grows large in areas with wet Winters. It can be planted in raised beds and terraces or used to create an impressive garden backdrop. It also attracts many bees and birds with its flowers.
