    Schizophragma hydrangeoides 'Moonlight' is a slow-growing broadleaf deciduous vine with blue foliage. In summer cream, purple and white flowers emerge. Grows well with mostly sun - mostly shade and even moisture water. Drought tolerant once established. Does well in acidic, rich and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something heat tolerant and humidity tolerant.

    Japanese climbing hydrangea is a beautiful and elegant climbing woody vine for partially shady gardens.? 'Moonlight' features dark green foliage?with a slight silver veil, much like some of the Heuchera varieties. ?Flowers are larger than the American climbing Hydrangea and feature a ring of single petals around the fertile flowers, usually in late may to mid June here in Wisconsin.? It's a self-clinging vine, and will attach itself to pretty much any rough surface like wood or brick.? I find Schizophragma has a faster growth rate than Hydrangea anomala.?
