This willow has brilliant glowing red orange stems in winter. If left alone, this plant will get 30'. We cut our plant down to 4' every winter. The fast growing stems make a warm winter show.
A remarkably showy form of this 50' columnar and elegant tree, in winter its slender tip-drooping branches are a brilliant orange-scarlet (best color comes from coppicing, pruning or pollarding). The summer foliage is silky-haired and makes a billowy, silvery mass. This is a very lovely willow and it adds a lot of wintertime interest to the landscape. S/M-W
Small conical tree to 20' tall with deep rusty red stems. Cut back annually for best color.
