Buy Corokia x virgata 'Phantom'

A fabulous textural evergreen shrub from New Zealand. To about 6 ft tall x 4 ft wide, has chocolate-maroon leaves with silvery undersides on wiry stems. Small starry yellow summer flowers lead to light purple fruit aging to nearly maroon. Sun or part shade in hottest climates with even summer moisture. A good small-scale background plant or pot specimen planted with contrasting colors. Frost hardy to the upper end of zone 8.
