The name 'Kaori Hime' means ""Fragrant Princess"" in Japanese, and this dwarf holly tea olive cultivar is true to its namesake. A beauty to behold, having stiff blue-green holly-shaped leaves and more flowers, it seems, than other cultivars, producing clusters of small, white, popcorn-like, flowers in spring that are intensely sweet and fragrant. A dwarf, this one reaches around 4' tall and wide and makes an excellent container specimen or foreground planting beneath taller trees. Sun to part shade. One of the most cold hardy species of Osmanthus, to USDA zone 6.
