    Rosa glauca is a broadleaf deciduous perennial shrub with blue and purple foliage. In fall, spring and summer pink flowers emerge followed by red fruit. Attracts bees making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun - mostly shade and regular - low water. Drought tolerant once established. Does well in clay, gritty, rich and well-drained soil.

    I've been looking for this plant to offer for several years and finally found a source of two gallon plants. This species of rose has purple foliage all summer. Can get to 8' tall in time. Flowers are small pink in June. This is one of the nice shrub roses to plant.

    This fine 6-8' rose comes to us from the mountains of central and southern Europe. Unlike other roses, this one is often grown for its foliage of outstanding smoky-purple. Lovely, single, fragrant pink star-shaped flowers on this vase-shaped shrub are pretty too! Orange rose hips in fall persist into winter and make for nice contrast with the violet stems. S/M

    This rose is as tough as nails and the best rose of all for folial impact. The leaves are violet- and blue-tinged against which the small starry, pink and white blossoms make a striking contrast.
