Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Hydrangea arborescens 'Candybelle Marshmallow' is a dwarf smooth hydrangea to just 36 inches tall and wide. It offers huge, domed palest salmon pink mopheads. Requires moist, well-drained soil. Great for cold climate gardeners! Use in the cottage or woodland garden, as a specimen, low hedge and container. Fantastic in the bouquet both fresh and dried. Smooth hydrangea is native to eastern North America and is among the hardiest in the genus. Attracts butterflies.
New hydrangea with white to ever so light pink blooms. We found another compact Arborescens that starts white then tinges to a soft pink with time. Bloom time is late June through September. The foliage has a healthy green color with a bronze tint. Sturdy branches hold up the huge blooms well. Marshmallow is going to be a great compact hydrangea, growing to just 3x3.
