Aloe 'Fairy Pink' is a small, stemless clumping aloe from Leo Thamm's breeding program in Johannesburg, South Africa. It grows upright rosettes of pale green leaves, nearly 1 foot tall. During late summer through fall into winter, it produces inflorescences with delicate white flowers lightly blushed apricot-pink. This compact succulent forms dense clusters with delicate fleshy green leaves arranged in a spiral pattern. It blooms from late summer to fall, occasionally into winter in milder climates. Bred by Leo Thamm, it's a hybrid cultivated for its compact size and stunning floral display. While best as a pot specimen in tropical and subtropical regions, it thrives in garden beds with well-drained soil and frost protection. Preferring full to semi-sun exposure, it needs occasional watering during summer and fertilization with compost in spring. While having low to medium frost tolerance, protection from frost is advisable, especially below 30°F. It adds a tropical desert feel to any garden with its compact size and vibrant floral display. Suitable for mass planting, rockeries, or as a statement container plant, its clumping floral display from summer to winter attracts birds, contributing to garden biodiversity.
