Buy Eucalyptus pleurocarpa

Eucalyptus pleurocarpa is a mallee known as tallerack, a native southwestern Australian shrub or small tree prized in floriculture for its gorgeous aromatic foliage and attractive seed pods. In the wild, plants have a straggly habit to 6-16 feet tall but can be trimmed in cultivation to maintain size and form and for use as fresh or dried stems in flower arrangements. The stems are thin and smooth with greyish bark. The evergreen elliptical to ovate foliage is silver-blue with a prominent central vein. In winter, clusters of creamy-white flowers produce woody, barrel-shaped, silver fruits. Drought tolerant. Provide excellent drainage. Grow as a patio specimen in summer and a houseplant in winter or provide a frost-free location. Deer resistant. Photo: Wikipedia.

Eucalyptus pleurocarpa is one of several mallee Eucalyptus that we grow. All are well behaved and have numerous features that endear it to gardeners. This one in particular glows in the garden with its pale green leaves dusted with white power and rigid, square shaped stems. The flowers are fine but not the reason to grow this stunner.
