Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Dan Hinkley collection from Korea, deciduous shrub, compact growth 3-4’ high and wide; highly textural foliage is heavily veined, leaves often display a burgundy hue. Lots of summer flowers… clusters of blue or pink (dependent on your soil pH) flowers circled by a ring of ray florets. Slow to moderate growth rate in bright shade, consistently moist, good garden soils. Subtle elegance.

From the southern mountainous region of South Korea, you'll love this Dan Hinkley showy serrata discovery. Pink or blue doubled and elongated petals and attractive dark green leaves really show off in late spring. The 'Sue' celebrates fellow plant hunter Sue Wynn-Jones from famed Crug Farm Nursery.
