    Haworthia lockwoodii is an evergreen cactus / succulent with blue and green foliage. Features glaucous texture. Grows well with bright shade - shade and low water. Drought tolerant once established. Prefers to be dry when dormant. Does well in gritty, rocky and well-drained soil.

    Though H. lockwoodii is from the dry areas south of Laingsburg in the Great Karoo in South Africa, a summer rainfall area, these plants prefer to grow in winter. The most distinguishing charactistic is the drying back of the leaf tips during the summer. Considered more difficult than most Haworthias, since they are prone to rot if over-watered, it's a plant that's well worth the challenge.
