The hairy lip fern looks delicate but really it's a tough one. It is one of the easier xeric ferns to grow. It has olive to bluish hairy fronds that stand in upright clumps to eight inches. It is extremely tough and drought tolerant and good in sun to part shade. .
Evergreen rhizomes, erect to long creeping with a spreading habit. Likes part shade to shade and is great for dry areas. Hardy to -20 degrees. Grows 8-14" tall and spreads 24-30"
