Brunnera are closely related to forget-me-nots (Myosotis) and Anchusa. They have beautiful heart-shaped leaves held in an attractive mound and cute forget-me-not-like blue flowers in spring. ‘Sterling Silver' is a sport of 'Looking Glass' with the same, much sought after, silver foliage and green veining but much larger with 7-8 inch wide leaves and a larger habit, better leaf quality, and increased heat tolerance. Fantastic in a woodland setting, the shade garden as a specimen or mass-planted ground cover, and in containers.
