A favorite form of a plant of which we are most obsessed. This Coffeeberry, to about 4.5' in height, from the serpentines just south of Hayfork CA, adorns itself with velour purple-silver foliage, quite pale beneath, and felty to the touch. Large, almost marble-sized red-turning-black berries add to the attraction in autumn and winter, or until the Cedar Waxwings appear. Evergreen. Summer drought loving and beautiful color for the garden. USDA zone 7, sun to partial shade.
