Veronicastrum virginicum 'Cupid' is a Culver's root with tall, rigid stems hosting dense, slender branched spikes of small, lilac-blue, candelabra-like flower spikes displayed above its rich, green foliage from summer to fall. A great back of the border, summer-flowering clumper that loves moist feet and good sun. Plants bulk up over time offering large columns of attractive foliage whorled at regular intervals along the stems. Becomes more drought tolerant with age. A Canadian native from Manitoba east to Nova Scotia and south to Florida. Popular with bees and butterflies. Deer resistant.

(Culver’s Root) Easy to grow perennial with tall stems 3-4’ tall topped with dramatic amethyst spikes resembling arrows late summer to early fall. Very architectural! Stems are whorled with handsome serrated emerald foliage. Needs full sun, well drained moist to wet soil and attracts butterflies. Plant clumps are 2-3’ wide.
