Alocasia 'Dragon Scale'

Alocasia ‘Dragon Scale’ is a showy tropical displaying thick, glossy green to silvery grey-green shield leaves with significant, almost black veins. The striking patterns look very reptilian. New leaves will emerge an emerald green color, but will settle into the silvery green color with ashy veins. The contrast is amazing! This plant will mature into an upright clump of gorgeous foliage, maxing out around 3 feet when grown indoors. Alocasia plants do best in warmer temperatures and high humidity. They are great for adding color and texture in landscapes and containers. Keep evenly moist and fertilize monthly during the growing season. Provide with lots of bright light but avoid direct sunlight, especially from the scorching afternoon sun in summer. Protect from freezing temperatures!
