Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Echeveria secunda forms very attractive, symmetrical rosettes with cupped, blue green leaves. The mature leaf margins glow pink when environmentally stressed. This species readily sounds out offshoots, forming clumps. Displays coral pink and yellow flowers atop thin stalks. Echeveria are small, slow-growing, low maintenance plants. Provide a well-drained soil away from reflected heat. Once established, water infrequently during the hot season. Ideal in warm climate landscapes and container gardens. Echeveria secunda is especially happy sitting on a sunny windowsill as a houseplant. Protect your PRINCE OF PARADISE™ from frost!
One of the hardiest and most popular succulent plants with rosettes of large, blue-green leaves, which have a narrow red margin in good light. They produce long-lasting, tall stems with small reddish flowers, which also last well in arrangements. They do great in pots or in the ground.
Powder blue rosettes form clusters to about 18" with nodding, orangey-pink flowers with yellow tips. Very nice. This high elevation collection has been frost hardy so far to as low as 12F! Wahoo! That's almost to the bottom of USDA zone 8. Needs lean, well-drained soil and occasional water, drying out a bit in between. Wonderful in rock garden walls or containers.
An easy to grow plant, clustering to form an attractive clump of bluish rosettes. New Aug. 2010
