Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Echeveria ‘Melaco’ is an attractive succulent rosette with glossy, spade-shaped leaves which shift color throughout the seasons. During the cooler months from Fall to Spring, it will be more plum to chocolate brown with bright pink edges and a glowing green center. During Summer, it will fade out, exhibiting colors of dusty salmon, copper and brown.
This came to us as Echeveria melaco, but we have no information regarding this as a species. It appears rather to be a cultivar, with the "Melaco" referring to the Portuguese for molasses.
