Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Rubus idaeus 'Canby' is a summer-bearing raspberry that is nearly thornless, cold hardy, reliable and disease resistant. White blossoms appear in spring followed by good quality, bright red berries. Expect a large summer crop on strong, vigorous canes. Requires some support or allow to ramble. Requires organically rich, moist but well-drained soils in full sun to part shade. Yield will be higher in full sun. Remove fruited canes after fruiting to encourage new canes. Enjoy fresh, frozen, canned, and baked. Attracts bees and wildlife.
This thornless raspberry produces wonderfully sweet thimble-size berries around June 15th; highly regarded for home gardens or commercial production. S/M
