Nursery contributed plant descriptions

From the Mediterranean shrublands comes this beautiful and unusual rose, unusual in that it is an evergreen. This easy-going 10-30' climber with very prickly stems will produce gorgeous clusters of 3-10 white, single 'wild rose' type flowers with golden stamens from spring-to-summer followed by small shiny-red fruit. This species was one used frequently as a parent for the hybrids produced by Henri Antoine Jacques, famed gardener to King Louis Philippe of France. S/M
