This lovely variety produces large, very showy, deep- pink double flowers that have a darker pink center. A flawless small garden tree, it has an upright 20 25' habit and forms a neat vase shape. In autumn, the lush-green foliage turns a vibrant red with hints of orange and gold. Selected by Mr. Masatoshi Asari in 1961 and awarded the Royal Horticulture Society's Award of Garden Merit in 2012. S/M
