This fabulous shrub Magnolia was bred for its hardiness and lateness of bloom (avoiding late-frosts!). This attractive 8-12' specimen features prolific reddish-purple buds which open to fragrant 4-6" flowers in late spring and sometimes a small repeat summer bloom. Coppery autumn leaves are another fine attribute making this US National Arboretum selection a winner! S/M
