This is a wonderfully dramatic tree with large heart-shaped leaves which can be up to 7" long and wide. Reaching a height of 25-50' with a trunk up to 20 inches in diameter which is graced with smooth grey-green bark. Small, yellow-green, fragrant flowers hang in clusters up to 10 inches! On the straight species, male and female flowers appear on separate trees, not Kentucky Fry! It is self-fertile. The blooms give way to large, showy, orange-red berries which often persist until the following spring. A truly remarkable tree! S/M
