A stately and versatile Midwest native, extremely tolerant of a variety of conditions. In addition, ours are grafted males making them excellent street trees with no fruit debris. Nearly columnar but with a slightly wider base. Green leaflets form 36in long and 24in wide frond-like fans; yellow fall color. Flowers are greenish-white 8-10in spike-like clusters. The bark is rough, scaly and dark brown.
