Zn 8. Olive green leaves w/cream edges. Dwarf.
Agave parryi 'Cream Spike' is a spectacular succulent displaying blue-green leaves surrounded by a dramatic creamy-white margin. The thick leaves comprising the 12 inch clump feature maroon-black leaf tips and teeth along the margins when mature. Leaf impressions from the reverse side of unfurling leaves are reminiscent of fossils. Hardy to about zone 7b to 9, or fantastic as a potted specimen.
A small growing agave with gray green on the middle of the leaf. The margin is a broad creamy white. Makes a superb container plant. We grow our agaves under Marj's house eave and only put it in an unheated garage when it gets to 15 F.
Light Shade to Partial Shade. Indoor/Outdoor. Small, clumping rosette plant.

Small, thick-leaved hardy rosettes, yellow-striped, slow-growing.
Stunning Mexican agave with creamy white edging on the blue leaves. To 6” tall and, eventually, 1 ft wide. A striking presence in the dry garden. Likes full sun and occasional summer water pretending to be thunderstorm. Reported to be frost hardy in upper USDA zone 7. Good in pots elsewhere.
Another one of those plants whose name is debated. But regardless of the plant's origins, this is an outstanding Agave for pot culture. Stays quite small and is fairly hardy, though we haven't confirmed that ourselves. A great small-growing Agave.
