Aloe squarrosa is an evergreen cactus / succulent with blue and green foliage. In fall, spring, summer and winter orange and red flowers emerge. Attracts beneficial insects and hummingbirds. Grows well with sun - mostly sun and occasional - low water. Drought tolerant once established. Prefers to be dry in winter. Does well in gritty, lean, rocky and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something heat tolerant and verticillium wilt resistant.

Native to Socotra, the legendary island off Yemen, this aloe is small growing with bright green leaves, white spots, and recurving leaf tips (tips that curl down and backwards towards the plant). Long stemmed aloe with leaves only at the tips. Rare in cultivation, and NOT Aloe juvenna!! They are not the same plant.
