This Aloe is so wacky! The leaves curl inward dramatically to form a nest around the flowering stalk. The leaves are a nice blue-grey color with spines. The flowers are orangy-red & bloom in the Winter. The rosette remains small & stemless & remains tightly clasped under dry situations. If it gets regular water the rosette will be more open. Aloe peglerae is endangered in its native environments in South Africa. It is named after Alice Pegler (1861-1929), a teacher, botanist & plant collector in South Africa. Needs good drainage & should be kept dry in Winter for optimum health.
