Haworthia-like creature from high elevations of South Africa forming rosettes to 5-6" with each leaf spiked and mottled with cream zigzag markings. Slowly offsets, clumping to form wonderful architectural patterns. Dappled to full sun, decent drainage, and summer water where dry. Probably the most cold hardy, non grass-like Aloe, accepting at least 10 °F, USDA zone 8, and below into upper zone 7 when planted in the ground. Possibly even lower if kept dry in winter.
Stemless rosettes to 6" across; 2' bright orange bloomstalk. Hardy to 20 °F.
The "lace" or "torch" Aloe. An excellent house plant, this is a large clump which flowers regularly every year.
