Hymenocallis x festalis 'Zwanenburg', also known as Ismene, resembles a pure white, spidery daffodil with a round corona, long, thin filaments, orange stamens, a greenish yellow throat, and long, narrow, arching petals. 'Zwanenburg’ is noted for having large white flowers. The flowers of Peruvian daffodil or spider lily are fragrant and are borne on stems 1-2 feet tall above the Amaryllis-like foliage. Grow in a protected location outdoors in zone 8 or as a pot plant brought in as a houseplant in winter.
