Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Begonia ‘Dr. Block’ is an upright, clumping, rhizomatous Begonia featuring lobed, chartreuse yellow leaves with concentric, star-like reddish-brown markings. The color is most striking when light shines through the translucent leaves. Begonias grow best in well-drained, humus-rich soil with moderate water. They prefer high humidity and indirect sunlight. Apply a slow-release fertilizer sparingly in spring. This makes a beautiful accent plant for a border or container, but is primarily used as a houseplant. Even works as a terrarium specimen. Protect from frost!
