Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Pilea involucrata ‘Norfolk’ is a wonderful houseplant featuring heavily textured foliage with deep, spine-like veins. The leaves emerge reddish-pink before turning metalic silver with charcoal green veins. The oval foliage grows in an upright bushy habit up to 10″ tall. This plant grows best in well-drained, humus-rich soil with moderate water. A humid environment is ideal to prevent crisping on the leaves. Apply a slow-release fertilizer sparingly in spring. Beautiful accent plant for borders and containers. It is especially excellent as a houseplant. Protect from freezing temperatures!
