Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Pilea ‘Silver Tree’ is a wonderful houseplant with wrinkled, deep green, almost charcoal leaves with a central silver band. Grows in an upright bushy habit up to 8″ tall. This plant grows best in well-drained, humus-rich soil with moderate water. A humid environment is ideal to prevent crisping on the leaves. Apply a slow-release fertilizer sparingly in spring. Beautiful accent plant for borders and containers. It is especially excellent as a houseplant. Protect from freezing temperatures!
