Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A new Villosa subspecies (for us) This beauty was given to us by our friends at Wilkerson Mill Gardens. Late summer colors are absolutely amazing on this Aspera. Vibrant purple fertile flowers emerge in August and colors just grow more intense. Like the other Villosa species, slender leaves of deepest green float in a slight breeze making blooms appear to be floating in air. Larger habit than the others but still a collectors' dream. Selected form by Spinners Nursery near Lymington, Hampshire, England. Very limited supply.
