Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Crassula ovata ‘Gandalf’ is a newer, compact hybrid Jade Plant featuring bright green, tubular succulent foliage with spoon-shaped suction like cups. The gorgeous, scarlet red margins are most pronounced with full sun exposure. This variety was developed by hybridizing Crassula portulacea ibrida, also called Crassula ovata ‘Gollum’, with Crassula ‘Baby Jade’, also called Crassula ovata ‘Minor’. This is a small, slow-growing, low maintenance plant that is perfect for novice gardeners. Provide a well-drained soil away from reflected heat. Requires little water once established. Ideal in warm climate landscapes, rock gardens and container gardens, but is especially happy sitting on your windowsill as a houseplant. Protect your PRINCE OF PARADISE™ from frost!
