Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Cobalt blue flowers on long spikes bloom from midsummer to fall. Wonderful for the mid regions of the border.
An erect, spreading perennial. Tall, straight, suckering stems clothed in bright green, heart shaped leaves. During the warmer months each stem produces long spiles of intense blue, hooded, tubular flowers. Cut back to ground level stems that have finished flowering.

This sage has lime green, aromatic leaves and BLUE flowers in spikes early summer to frost on tall stems 4-6' and filling 3-4' in width. Has an airy, open feeling so it is easy to find a lightly shaded spot (sun in cooler areas) in the garden that it will shine in! Decent soil drainage, average water…hummers will seek this out. True blue and hardy too!
Reliable and always a mainstay of the summer border Salvia guaranitica has 4' tall flower spikes on plants that grow 3-4' wide.
