Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Uncommon deciduous dwarf shrub from Hondo, Japan with architecturally pleasing, zig-zag stems forming a dwarf, rounded form 3-4(5)’. Red buds burst into clusters of pinkie-white with rose centers in early March. Revered as a bonsai, easy to grow in a pot or in the garden. Sun to part shade, average garden soil that always has some moisture. A ‘must have ’ for those who love cherry blossoms but don’t have room for the tree!
The dense, vigorous growing clump is composed of narrow, pointed gold leaves, and topped with short scapes of purple flowers in July
I've fallen for this exquisite little tree that grows 5 x 5 feet. Light pink early spring flowers, zig zag arching branches and fall color. I'll take three.
Is a small shrubby cherry with twisted branches. In the spring the plant is covered with small pinkish white flowers somewhat like P. Holly Jolyvette. Fall color is a mixture of orange, yellow and red. P. Kojo uno mai makes a superb bonsai or larger container plant.
